Q. How long have you been DJing?

A.Since 1980. In London and the southeast of England. We relocated in 2019 to Pembrokeshire South Wales.

Q. What area’s do you cover?

A. Initially Pembrokeshire, Carmarthenshire and as far as Swansea. However, we have worked all over the UK and Europe.

Q. Are you insured?

A. Yes, we are fully insured.

Q. Are you a registered Company?

A. Yes. Montess-European is a registered company in England and Wales. No. 11402369.

Q. Is your equipment PAT tested?

A. Yes. We have our own qualified Portable Appliance Tester.

Q. Do you have backup equipment?

A.Yes! We have backup equipment for everything. Nothing is left to chance.

Q. What type of music do you play?

A. This is entirely up to you. Remember it’s your party. You can be as vague or as specific as you like with your play list, we will take care of the rest. We always take request and every roadshow has access to over 50000 tracks by every conceivable artist. All our music is 260kbps or higher. Our MCDJs also have access to music pools specifically designated for DJ’s. So, the quality of the music played is always CD or Vinyl Quality.

Q. How long is yor set. What if our party over runs?

A. We will take this as good sign and carry on perform until we're thrown out, or you’re ready to go home. However, additional charges are at the discretion of the roadcrew.

Q. What will you wear?

A.We dress for the occasion, this could be a tuxedo, costume, or smart casual, normally shirt and tie.

Q. Do you perform alongside bands?

A. Yes. We have worked with numerus bands, artist and other DJ’s.

Q. What are your power requirements?

A. We require 3 mains power sockets on the wall within 25 meters of our setup. Our equipment will draw up to 2KW at full power. We make all our cabling trip-safe.

Q. Do you perform a site survey of the venue prior to the booking date?

A. Yes and No. If we have not performed at a particular venue in Pembrokeshire before, we do a site survey before the night. outside Pembrokeshire we do not.

Q. How long do you take to set up?

A. We can be up and running in approximately 3 hours. break down is usually 60 minutes.

Q. Do you have a smoke machine?

A. Yes, we have a smoke machine. However, use is limited to the venue allowence. All specail effects, all lighting are included in the price

Q. Do you have radio / wireless microphones?

A. Yes. For announcements and speeches, we have 2 wireless microphones and 2 wired microphones. This is automatically included whenever you book us. We can also provide stand-alone systems upon request.

Q. How much do you charge?

A. All our prices are bespoke to the event in question. We work within our client’s “reasonable” budget requirements that align with our internal pricing structure.

I have a charity event. How do I qualify for a free gig?

A. We support all Charities and offer subject to strict terms and conditions our services at a reduced or pro-bono. Please Contact us for more information

Roadshow Terms and Conditions.

1. In these terms and conditions, you are hereinafter referred to as the Client, and Montess-European, is hereinafter called Montess Roadshows.

2. This agreement is made between the Client and Montess Roadshows and will be binding upon both parties once accepted by the Client

3. The Client engages Montess Roadshows, and Montess Roadshows accepts without prejudice, the engagement to appear at the venue on the date and at the times and for the fee as shown herein.

4. Montess-European reserve the right to charge reasonable travel expenses in addition to the cost of the Roadshow for venues that exceed a twenty miles (Round Journey) by road from our Milford Haven Base. The first twenty miles are pro-bono.

5. Montess-European reserve the right to charge reasonable overnight expenses in addition to the cost of the roadshow and reasonable travel costs at venues that exceed 120 miles or 2 hours travel by road from our Milford haven Base.

6. Parties booked more than 60 days in advance must be paid for within 72 hours of booking. Subject to our normal Terms and conditions, these payments are refundable (see clauses 15 - 18 ).

7. All Roadshows are supplied without compromise. There are no added costs for extra equipment incurred. However, our party planning service and weeding planning services are excluded and will be subject to additional costs.

8. A booking reservation fee (“the deposit”), as specified by our reservation team, must be submitted to Montess Roadshows unless specifically agreed otherwise by Montess Roadshows. And is payable by BACS. Cash or via PayPal.

9. The balance of the booking fee (being the total fee less the amount of any deposit paid) must be paid at least 48 hours prior to the start date and time of the booking.

10. The booking fee can be paid by the following means. By BACS; Cash or PayPal

11. The total fee quoted is in respect of a performance during the times specified overleaf. If the Client requests that the performance time be extended, then the additional period and fee must be negotiated with the Disc Jockey (hereafter referred to as the DJ) provided by Montess Roadshows, and paid in the manner described above.

Cancellations

12. The Client has the right to cancel at anytime services offered by Montess-Roadshows. In the event of cancellation made between the date of placing the reservation and 14 days prior to the reservation (Booking) date. All deposits will be return.

13. In the event of cancellation made between 14 days and 7 days prior to the reservation (Booking) date. Montess-Roadshows reserves the rights to retain up to 50% of the deposit paid.

14. In the event of cancellation made between 14 days and 7 days prior to the reservation (Booking) date. Montess-Roadshows reserves the rights to retain up to 75% of the deposit paid. Or invoice the client for the full cost of the reservation.

15. When a booking has been formally cancelled, and that cancellation has been accepted by both parties, the Client forfeits any rights to use the services of Montess Roadshows on that date, irrespective of any deposits or cancellation fees paid.

The Reservation.

16. The Client must ensure that the DJ has access to two 13-amp 240-volt sockets. The working position must not obstruct any emergency exit route, and must allow enough space for the DJ to operate in safety and comfort. The equipment should not be placed directly onto a dancefloor to avoid vibration damage.

17. Where the equipment has been set up earlier in the day at the request of the Client and left unattended until the time of the DJs performance. The client shall undertake not to use or interfere with said equipment. They shall also be responsible for ensuring that their guests, children or any other unrelated person shall not touch, use or interfere with said equipment, no matter whatever the reason may be.

18. Montess Roadshows will supply sufficient music to suit the occasion; adequate equipment for playing and amplifying recorded music; lighting and other effects to suit the occasion and venue; a MCDJ and where necessary an assistant.

19. The Client is responsible for the behaviour of his / her clients or guests, and for safeguarding the DJ and equipment against theft, damage or other risks, from the moment of arrival to the moment of final departure. Please note: any loss of or damage to equipment, other than that caused by fair wear and tear, will be charged for.

20. Montess Roadshows cannot be held responsible for the way some people may be affected by any lighting, sound or haze effect that may be used. The Client must advise the DJ prior to the start of the performance if any effect should be avoided.

21. Montess Roadshows cannot be held responsible for non-Dancing or participation of guests. Our MCDJ’s shall play requests and encourage guest to participate.

22. The DJ provided will generally be an employee of Montess Roadshows, or a self-employed DJ working exclusively for Montess Roadshows. Montess Roadshows reserves the right however to assign the engagement to a suitably experienced and qualified associate.

23. The DJ shall be deemed to be under the direction and control of the Client, and shall be regarded as a servant or agent of the Client, and the Client shall be responsible for any claims arising from placement or operation of the equipment other than those resulting from the negligence of the DJ.

24. The Client will be responsible for obtaining all necessary licences and permissions relating to the performance at the event.

25. The DJ will need reasonable access to the venue to unload and load equipment, any parking fines incurred by the DJ due to the lack of reasonable access to the venue, will be passed on to the client.

26. Montess Roadshows operates regularly serviced and maintained good quality sound and lighting equipment. In the rare event of any equipment failure, an onsite repair will be attempted. If, however there is an irreparable breakdown in sound a pro rata refund will be given for the time remaining, but this will be the limit of our liability to you.

27. Montess Roadshows shall be entitled to terminate this contract without liability if for any reason beyond its control. This includes but not limited to. The DJ is unable to perform due to fire, theft, or interference to the equipment by a third party., Sudden Illness, including COVID.

28. Montess Roadshows will use all reasonable endeavours to locate a replacement DJ, but, in the unlikely event of a non-performance all monies paid will be refunded, but this will be the limit of our liability to you.

Additional Terms and Conditions for Youth Parties

ALL STAFF ARE FULLY VETTED AND DBS ENHANCED CHECKED.

We are regrettably not Children Entertainers and therefor unfortunately we do not perform at private under 18's birthday parties.

For the purpose of these terms and conditions, we qualify a child as being under the age of 18.

1. We only accept bookings from verified Youth Clubs, Schools and Colleges for under 18s events.

2. The Client will provide sufficient adult supervision of the Children attending the Event

3. The supervising adults will provide the DJ with the type of games and help or assist in the organisation of the children during any games played at the Event

4. The supervising adults will ensure that the young adults do not interfere with the disco equipment or prevent the DJ from performing his duties of playing music and organising games (if required)

5. 14 – 18-year-old parties limited to 4 hours only.

CHARITIES & CHARITABLE CLUBS.

Sadly due to unscrupulous people we’ve had to introduce a strict set of terms and conditions and we are sorry if your planned fund raiser does not qualify. However, please contact us.

CHARITIES TERMS AND CONDITIONS.

1. These terms are specific to charities and pro-bono functions. The following terms where conflict occurs with our regular terms and conditions will supersede said terms and conditions.

2. Where no supersede terms apply our regular Terms and Conditions are effective.

3. The event must be held and organised directly by a registered Charity; A Charity registered with the charity commission or as a charity with company’s house must have organised, promoted and hold the event.

4. The event must not be held for any other reason other than fund-raising or charity awareness; Self-explanatory. Should the event be found to have been reserved fraudulently, Montess-Roadshows.Uk reserves the right to cancel, request payment, or levied a £400.00 surcharge. Fraudulent claims include but not limited to Private Family functions, Wedding Receptions, Events used to raise money other than for the charitable cause.

5. Guests must have contributed to the charity in question; this can be via ticket, entrance fees, charity auctions events, gala dinner dances, where donations are requested. Guests must be not be wholly staff or members of charitable clubs.

6. The Promotion and promotional literature, whether verbal, printed, or digital must include reference to Montess-European and the part we are playing in supporting the event; Self-explanatory. Montess-Roadshows.Uk shall provide a pro-bono roadshow for free publicity.

7. Club Members Award Ceremonies, Members events, Members Gala Dinners Dances, Christmas & New Year functions are not included; Even if there is a charitable auction, fund-raising aspect. The event must have been labelled, promoted and accepted wholly as a Charity event.

8. Club Members private parties where ad hoc charitable donations are requested. Are not included.

9. Montess-European reserves the right to charge reasonable travel expenses for events held out side of Pembrokeshire.

Charitable Companies Events.

1. The event must be held and organised directly by a registered company; A company as registered with company’s house must have organised, promoted and hold the event.

2. The company must have proven documentation of links with the charity in question.

3. The event must not be held for any other reason other than fund-raising or charity awareness.

4. Guests must have contributed to the event in question; this can be via ticket, entrance fees, charity auctions events, gala dinner dances, where donations are requested. Guests must be not be wholly staff or members of charitable clubs.

5. The Promotion and promotional literature, whether verbal, printed, or digital must include reference to Montess-European and the part we are playing in supporting the event.

6. Company Award Ceremonies, Company events, Company Gala Dinners Dances, Christmas & New Year functions, where charitable donations are optional or asked for. Are not included.

Charitable Private Individuals Events.

We take all requests on their merit. We will accept charity bookings from private individuals as long as the following terms and conditions are met.

1. The individual must have proven links with the charity in question. This could be a current volunteer or employee with the charity.

2. In the event that the individual organising the event has not got proven links with the charity, Montess-European will request a sum of money paid to them for their services, which shall then be donated to the charity in question and proof provided.

4. Guests must have contributed to the event in question; this can be via ticket, entrance fees, charity auctions events, gala dinner dances, where donations are requested. Guests must not be wholly family, friends of family or related.

5. The Promotion and promotional literature, whether verbal, printed, or digital must include reference to Montess-European and the part we are playing in supporting the event.

PRIVACY STATEMENT.

How we handle your information.

Montess-European Ltd adheres to a strict privacy policy as set out below.

Initial Contact.

Montess-European Ltd requests the following information from prospective clients in order to be able to provide an accurate quotation for services requested. These details will be logged on an enquiry form and kept for 30 days on a secure encrypted password protected computer system in accordance with current legislations.

The name, address, phone number and email address of the person making the reservation. The person or persons (if different) details where relevant for whom the function, event or occasion is being held for. The reason for the function, event or occasion, The Date, time and proposed length of the function, event or occasion. The venue details including a postal address or postal codes.

From this information we will provide the client with a quotation for the reservation. Which will be valid for 30 days.

Declination or Expiry of thirty days.

After thirty days the information will be deleted manually from our internal computer systems.

Acceptance.

On acceptance of a reservation by both parties. The information will be transferred electronically to Montess-European’s Client Database. This information is kept on a secure encrypted password protected computer system in accordance with current legislations.

How Long is the information kept?

Montess-European reserves the right to retain the following information indefinitely.

As directed by HMRC, we retain records of payments made by a client to Montess-European in the form of. A) Name, Address and Contact details of hirer / payee. Date of payment, form of payment, amount of payment and full details of reservation in the form of “the Function.”

Montess-European reserves the right to retain the following information for a maximum of sixty days or in the unlikely case of dispute, the payment details. (Clarification. Card Numbers, Account Numbers, Etc.) are kept until the dispute is rectified. After sixty days these details are deleted from our systems.

Photographs.

Montess-European Ltd retain the rights indefinitely the intellectual rights to photographs, Video and Sound Recordings made or taken by Montess staff, Roadcrew utilising equipment owned by Montess or their staff during the event. Montess-European will not be held responsible for any photographs, Video posted without permission of identifiable persons. Where possible we shall attempt to identify and seek permission in writing from any identifiable persons within the photographs / videos we seek to use the material for publicity on any social platform associated with Montess-European

Montess-European Ltd retain the rights indefinitely the intellectual rights to content and reviews posted on any of our social media in the view for publicity.

Montess-European will not be held responsible for photographs / videos posted by members of the public, guests or venues.

Any additional Photographical material shall be kept within the client file for up to six months.

Where is this information kept?

All Data retaining to Clients details are kept on a secure encrypted password protected computer based at our Milford Haven Office.

DISCLOSURE

Your rights

You have the right to withdraw consent where it has been provided. We do not at Montess provide newsletters, special offers therefor all communications are in reference to any reservations.

Your data will be processed in line with the Principles and Rights of The General Data Protection regulation.

Your information will not otherwise be transferred out of the European Union without your prior consent;

We will not share your personal data

We may disclose or use your personal data which you provide to us for the purpose of any activities listed below.

Assisting with law enforcement agencies in connection with any investigation.

STORAGE

Your information will be stored in an encrypted database in the EEA and will be retained for 5 years. However, you may ask for this to be deleted in accordance with the Rights of the GDPR by contacting our data officer anytime on info@montess-european.co.uk

At Montess we take every compliant seriously and will promise to investigate thoroughly.

If your complaint is referencing a reservation, cost or charge. Please contact us within 21 days of the completion of the reservation. Quoting your unique reservation number.
